| Guangxiao Temple is the temple with the longest history, the most profound influence, and the largest scale in Lingnan. There are three big Buddha statues built in the Great Hall of Guangxiao Temple. The center is Sakyamuni. The left and right are Manjushri and Samantabhadra. The three statues are collectively called the "Huayan Three Sages". There is a Bodhi tree outside the temple. Here, Huineng is the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism. He was once known as the "Three Sages of the East" together with Confucius and Laozi. Looking at all the sentient beings under the tree may make you suddenly live in the Zen realm of "there is nothing in the first place, where can you get the dust". 光孝寺是嶺南歷史最悠久，影響最為深廣，規模最為宏大的寺院。光孝寺大雄寶殿內修建的三尊大佛像，中間為釋迦牟尼，左右分別是文殊菩薩和普賢菩薩，三尊佛像合稱為“華嚴三聖”，殿外有一棵菩提樹，相傳六祖惠能曾剃度於此，惠能是禪宗第六祖，一度與孔子、老子一起被稱為代表思想先哲的“東方三聖人”，著有《壇經》流傳於世，是中國歷史舉足輕重的佛教高僧之一，在樹下望著芸芸眾生，或許會讓你頓生“本來無一物，何處惹塵埃”的禪境。 |
